From: John 14:27 and Matthew 11:28-30

Sung by Miro

Verse 1:
Peace I leave with you,
My peace I give unto you:
Not as the world giveth,
Give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled,
Let not you heart be troubled,
Neither let it be afraid.

Chorus:
Come unto me,
Come unto me,
All ye that labor and are heavy laden,
I will give you rest,
I will give you rest.

Verse 2: Take my yoke upon you,
And learn of me:
For I am meek and lowly,
And lowly in heart,
Let not your heart be troubled,
Let not your heart be troubled,
Neither let it be afraid.

(Repeat Chorus) Peace I leave with you,
My peace I give unto you,
Not as the world giveth,
Give I unto you.

Miro, is a Eurasian singer, fluent in several languages including English , Portuguese and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). He is a prolific songwriter himself and has published a CD with a collection of his songs. Right now he is working on his second CD to be recorded and published in Canton with the China Record Company. Recorded in the Island of Coloane, Macau, China, on November 7th, 1996. [see recording file- link] When Miro first came to hear the song he liked it but he felt that some adjustments should be made to fit his voice. We met at his place one night and worked together on a new key and arrangement. The result was this beautiful ballad in typical contemporaneous Hong Kong pop style. Linda came later to add backups and her warm voice really added character to the song. Armando's "live" drums made a world of difference. Jesus comforting words in these passages are, however, the stronger ingredient to make this song reach deep into one's soul.
